The film, Un Chien Andalou is a surrealist classic released in 1929. It is directed, produced and edited by Luis Buñuel, and is co-writen by Buñuel together with Salvador Dalí. During the original 1929 screening in Paris, Buñuel selected music which he played live on a gramophone to accompany the film. Excerpts from an opera by Richard Wagner and from two Argentinian tangos were later added to a print of the film in 1960 under Buñuel's supervision. We're pretty sure he would have loved this soundtrack though!
