Winter Surfing + Camping in Assateague Island National Park!

My friend Sam and I took a winter trip down to Assateague Island National Park for a quick escape. We camped overnight, listened to music, hung out by the fire with a few drinks, and just enjoyed being out there. Woke up the next morning to a super clean day and spent the morning and afternoon surfing before heading back home.
The waves were about 2–3 feet with fair conditions. Not the best swell size or waves that Assateague can offer, but still a really fun session and a great way to spend the day. On top of that, we saw a ton of wildlife throughout the trip, including horses and deer, which made the whole experience even better.
