"The rides", a cycling series to explore the villages and unexplored gems of Palakkad, Kerala.
In this first episode, we are going to an old British Bridge in Padalikkad, just 8 kilometres away from Palakkad town. The ride towards Padalikkad is mesmerising. Small village roads with plenty of paddy fields and trees. I assure will get a lifetime memory if one takes this route. A must visit place in Palakkad. More than a half-century-year-old bridge is a must-visit place in Palakkad. It is an aqueduct bridge built in Korayar River and a canal passing in between the bridge. Water in the canal gives a different experience.
This bridge is similar to the British Bridge situated in Kodumbu, Palakkad. But when I started exploring both the places are giving me a different experience. The narrow mud way surrounded by trees and plants towards the Korayar river gives a different experience. The same feeling as walking through a dense forest.
Malampuzha Dam is also very close to Padalikkad. Those who visit here can easily go to Malampuzha. It's just a 20 minutes ride by cycle. The best way to explore these places is by riding a cycle or a two-wheeler.
