Driving in Switzerland 🇨🇭| From Gotthard to Brunnen | 4k

Join us on a scenic drive in the heart of Switzerland from Gotthard to Brunnen.

Our drive starts at the base of the Gotthard Pass in the North.

The Gotthard Pass at 2,106 m (6,909 ft) is a mountain pass in the Alps traversing the Saint-Gotthard and connecting northern with southern Switzerland. The pass lies between the German-speaking canton of Uri and the Italian-speaking canton of Ticino, and connects further Bellinzona to Lucerne, Basel, and Zurich. Since the Middle Ages, transit across the Gotthard played an important role in Swiss history, after the pass became a vital trade route between Northern and Southern Europe.

Finally you will drive on the Axenstrasse which is a historic motorway that’s so achingly scenic it might even cure your vertigo. It winds around the base of the Uri Alps Vierwaldstätter See, translated: Four Forested Cantons Lake. Also known as Lake Lucerne. We will drive through century-old mountain tunnels and past beautiful Alpine villages. There are numerous picnic areas along the older sections of the Axenstrasse where you can relax, take a break and enjoy the stunning nature. In summer it is very popular to swim in the lake.

By the end of the drive we will lie just above the beautiful village called Brunnen in the canton of Schwyz.
