A memorial service for the late Queen Mantfombi Dlamini Zulu is being held at the Kwakhangela Palace in northern KwaZulu-Natal today following her internment in a private ceremony.
Various maiden regiments and community members gathered at the royal palace ahead of the ceremony, which is understood to have taken place last night.
The queen passed away in a Johannesburg hospital last week at the age of 65.
