The Backstreet Boys is an American boy band formed in Orlando, Florida in 1993. The group's members include AJ McLean, Howie D., Nick Carter, Kevin Richardson, and Brian Littrell. In 1996, the group rose to fame with their debut album, "Backstreet Boys" , but then, in 1999 they rose to international stardom with their third album, "Millennium" and the hit single, "I Want It That Way". The Backstreet Boys have sold over 130 million records worldwide, making one of the best selling boy bands in history. They are also the first group since Sade to have their first nine albums reach the top 10 on the Billboard 200, and the only boy band to do so.
