It was a real moment for me, as I arranged with the Director of Music to play the organ at St John the Baptist Church, Knaresborough, where I lived from 2009 to 2013, and this is where I first learned bell ringing in this tower. So for the first video is me playing the hymn, The Lord's my Shepherd to the tune, Crimond, and even a last verse that I doodled while practicing beforehand. I had the wrong hymnbook with me, so I used the Ancient and Modern hymnbook on the organ console. The organ here is a 3 manual instrument by Harris of Birmingham, a rebuild of an earlier Binns organ, which in turn is a rebuild of an earlier organ. One of the most unique features of this organ are the orange, probably a trait with Harris organs. This hymn is fitting, as I did not have the best part of my life in Knaresborough, going through teenage difficulties and other stuff.....
Also the pedals are not quite what I am used to having mostly played tracker or pneumatic action organs, so I did tend to catch them when I didn't want to catch them, if you get what I mean...
