In a wide-ranging discussion the actor, writer and theatre director explains why he feels Akira Kurosawa’s epic was “one of the most exciting films I had ever seen”. Berkoff reflects on the talents of actor Toshiro Mifune and recalls his feelings from his first viewing of the film in the late 1950s.
