This presentation introduces an important, long standing but unsung Western Australian institution – the ChemCentre. In various iterations, the ChemCentre traces its origins all the way back to the 1890s and the Western Australian gold rush. Its current CEO, Paul Nicholls, presents an overview of the role of ChemCentre as a WA Statutory Authority supporting the WA Police, Coroner’s Office and WA Racing Industry while also protecting the community and environment through support of government regulation and enabling economic development.
