Vintage Fountain Pen: The 45-plus-year-old: The Pilot Namiki Elabo | Pilot Namiki | Pilot Falcon SEF

I’m very excited to have this Pilot Elabo. I was initially confused by the name, but research showed that this pen is called the Elabo in Japan and Falcon outside of Japan. (Thanks for confusing newbies like us, it makes us research and know more about the pens in our collection.) On top of that, my research also showed that the numbered pens are from the first run(s) of this pen, so getting a numbered one was a wow moment for me.

Information from Restorer (Penacea.ID):
1978 marked the birth of a collaboration between Pilot and the national fountain pen association called Elabo, Lacquered feed, yellow gold nib and snap cap and serial number engraving became the hallmark of Elabo's first production batch.
