Welcome to another Cancun vlog!
Today we got up super early and had an all day tour to Chichen Itza, the cenotes, and Valladolid.
Seeing Chichen Itza was one of the most surreal experience of our lives so far. Just seeing something built so long ago, and it being so perfectly aligned with the rotation of the earth was truly spiritual. Learning about the history of the Mayans was eye-opening to us, too.
Our next stop was the Chichikan cenote where we had a tequila tasting, a delicious Mexican lunch, and got to take a plunge into a beautiful cenote. The water was so cold but very refreshing after being in the harsh sun at the temples. Although if you are scared of deep water, this might be challenging for you like it was for me 😬.
Then we had a short visit to Valladolid; a traditional Mexican village with a beautiful cathedral and Central Park. We wandered around the city’s center and stocked up on our favorite Mexican treats.
After a long day, we were so glad to be back at our resort. We ordered room service and dozed off to sleep.
