You're going to want to write this extremely valuable information down...
Step ONE of learning how to fly a paramotor is being able to keep the glider under control.
There are only 3 main things you need to focus on at the START.
1 - LEAN/TURN
When the glider starts to fall, lean, when it reaches the height of your head, turn. This is how your "weight-shift" and if you fail to weight-shift you miss out on 66% of your overall control. Don't forget it.
2 - WALK
When the glider starts to fall, don't walk away from it, walk towards it and into the wind at a 45-degree angle. Imagine you're balancing a broomstick on your finger, as it falls to your right, you move your hand to the right. It's the same with a paraglider.
3 - PULL
As the glider falls to the right, pull right. As it falls to the left, pull left. In your hands will be brake toggles. And as you pull the brake toggles you pull the back part of the glider down hence making a correction.
These 3 steps seem so simple, right?
WRONG!
You'll never know just how easy it is to mix up your right and left until you start to learn how to fly a paramotor.
The reason we spend so much time at Super Training building your skills is to build TRUE muscle memory.
Unlike continuous memory where you have to think about what to do then do it, muscle memory is instinctual.
The moment something start's to happen, your body knows exactly how to respond.
When it comes to paragliders, things happen really fast. And if you have to think about what to do, you will be too slow and you might get it wrong.
YOU want to have muscle memory/reflexes because that increases how much fun you have but also how safe you are!
At Super Training we don't cut any corners when it comes to muscle memory/reflexes.
We know it takes time to build real skills and we spend anywhere between 40-80 hours with each student helping you build the skills.
In addition to that, we do NOT FLY YOU until you do have those skills.
We want to make sure when you do go flying, that you have it down!
Unlike other schools that promise to throw you up in a few days...
...which is totally not cool and extremely dangerous.
Each student learns at a different pace and nobody should be airborne until they have the skills to keep perfect control of that glider no matter what.
It's for the pilot's SAFETY.
If you would like to learn more about how you can get into paramotor with the safest possible equipment and training give us a call! We are around 7 day's a week to help answer any questions you might have!
PS: You'll be speaking directly with Trevor who is one of the best pilots in the world and one of Super Training's head instructors.
If your ready to take your first flight, Super Training is my 10-day paramotor training school where I personally take you from never having touched the glider to a master pilot in only 10-days. I do 5 training classes a year with 12 students a class down in Corpus Christi, Texas. I've been running these training classes for 20 years and have trained over 1038 students safely.
