Back on another farm here using my .22 FAC FX King for pest control using 29.5 grain Premier slugs at 61ftlb also the same rifle using 18 grain JSB pellets at12 ftlb. so not to damage farm property and make a safer shot
Here in the UK Crow.s and Magpies can cause devastating damage to the ground nesting birds we have on our moors for example Curlews, lapwings meadow pipits and many many more, they also predate on the song bird population ,also around lambing time the crows will peck out the eyes of the new born lambs while they are vulnerable just after birth and even at times while the Ewe is giving birth crows will peck out the eyes and tongues of a lamb, so as a pest controller our laws let us control them all year round, Any disbelievers please feel free to google and see the damage for your self. cheers.
