QANTAS 787-9 | TRIPREPORT | Melbourne (MEL) - Sydney (SYD) | Economy | Full flight

Step aboard the Qantas Dreamliner (QF422) on Saturday 9 December 2017 for the short hop between Melbourne and Sydney.

Qantas is using the B787-900 (named Great Southern Land) on domestic flights for crew familiarisation until 15 December when it will start long haul flights to Los Angeles.

I flew in economy and had superb wing views. There are wonderful views of Sydney Harbour, including Sydney Harbour Bridge, on approach to Sydney Airport. All footage was recorded using a GoPro Hero 6.

It was a comfortable and pleasant flight, although QF422 departed and arrived late.

This flight is one of three I made in the same day. I started in Adelaide with a 6.30am flight to Melbourne on a Qantas 737-800, followed by the Qantas Dreamliner to Sydney.
