Arthur Åke Blomqvist ( 14. December 1925 Helsinki - September 18, 2013 Helsinki) was a Finnish Master of the dance teacher. In 1998, Blomqvist was awarded the Counselor of Education title.
Blomqvist taught since the 1940s dance Finns. He met his wife Wendy at the beginning of the 1970s. Together, they held a dance school in Helsinki, Tampere and Lahti. Since 2009, the dance has served as their daughter Clara Blomqvistin chair. Blomqvist was a television Saturday Dances key elements of program. He also wrote a number of dance instruction books and other learning materials, and also starred in the movies.
Åke Blomqvist died on 18 September 2013 in the morning, when a sudden illness on a walk near his home in Helsinki
