Scam Alert - Audio Recording - Police Department Voicemail Box

This is an audio recording of a voicemail box set up by some scammers impersonating the Woodridge Police Department. The scammers are looking up Woodridge Police officers' names and then calling people and impersonating Woodridge Police officers. The scammers are asking to collect money or gift cards information over the phone. They also set up a fake voicemail line to collect the account information. The Woodridge Police Department will never call to request payment over the phone. If you receive a suspicious call from someone claiming to be a Woodridge Police officer, please call our main phone number at 630-719-4740 during regular business hours (M-F, 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.) or 911 anytime.
