Besiege is awkward

Dear, god WTF?
I used the Youtube editor to cut out a part and suddenly the quality is in the toilet.
Why the hell does the editor ruin it and add audio clipping? WTF are these people doing with their time and money?

It's pretty nice but seems like the crappy basic wooden struts are apparently kinda the only real thing you can use for structure, even the round ones limit what you can attach to them.

Also, it's truly bizarre how in such an incredibly complex game the devs did not think about a way to properly re-attach things.
Deleting a block and then wanting to replace it is something virtually everyone must have experienced, this must have been brought up hundreds of times during the very Early Access period but the game still fails hard at it.

If stuff touches, it's still not re-connected automatically nor can you manually do that, the only way is to awkwardly select all of the vehicle on the one side of the missing / replaced part, a large amount of individual parts that you can get wrong easily, and then move them away, select the rest of the vehicle and than jam it into the other part so they deeply clip into each other.

You cannot make them just barely touch and even if that is possible it does not attach anything but most of the time the minimum distance you can move stuff around means you go from clearly not touching to clipping deeply into other parts.

It was relatively easy with my simple vehicle but replacing a part in a truly complex vehicle sounds like a true nightmare.

This is beyond insane because it makes experimentation a LOT harder and more annoying, the more complex your vehicle the harder it gets to change anything not on the outside so optimizing it when it moves clunkily , has structural issues, weapons don't work properly, etc. is a total bs process that apparently involves taking your vehicle apart into multiple movable sections, replacing something and then mashing them together again.

EXCEPT because you cannot smoothly reattach anything you now have to deal with everything no longer being align, stuff no longer being attached elsewhere because of the clipping needed to turn this all back into a single connected vehicle, etc..

WTF?
When I realized how annoying all this would get with more complex vehicles and how annoying this was already with such a basic vehicle I lost all interest in the game tbh.
