Today I’m sharing the original Chamba-style Himachali Rajma Madra recipe — the same taste we get in Himachali Dham and wedding feasts!
This recipe is full of traditional flavours, pure ghee, and pahadi love. 💛
This is a no-onion, no-garlic recipe – completely Satvik and perfect for festivals, pooja, and special family lunches.
Ingredients Used (1–2 servings)
1 cup Rajma (preferably Chamba Rajma)
1 cup Dahi (curd)
1 medium cup Ghee
3 Badi Elaichi
4 Choti Elaichi
4 Laung (cloves)
2 Dalchini (cinnamon sticks)
1 tsp Haldi
1 tsp Salt (or as per taste)
Pro Tips for Perfect Madra
✔ Use thick curd to avoid curdling.
✔ Cook on slow flame — that gives shaadi wala flavour!
✔ Desi ghee makes a BIG difference.
