The recorded section of the performance seems to start in the middle of a song and end in the same way.

Thank you to everyone giving me info on this! So I was researching based on some comments left by some fine folks and found an old interview with Small Sur where they mentioned this exact show being a big moment for them. I reached out and asked them about it and they responded very quickly with the following along with a link to some pictures of the show:

If I remember correctly it was September 2005. Not sure if you're from Baltimore, but the Talking Head/Ottobar (the original location before it moved uptown) was located at 203 Davis Street, which wasn't much more than an alley. It was a handful of blocks north of the harbor. The Reverent Fog Festival took place right on the street, and both ends of the block were closed off to traffic. It was muggy, and the pavement only made things worse.

I'd never seen anything like it, and won't likely ever again. Daniel's presence was heavy and magnetic. The other members of the band, especially Asa and Mitchell, were so locked in and stoic compared to the madman staggering back and forth across the stage in front of them and leaning against the wall of the adjacent building. I didn't fully understand what I saw that day, but I was certain it was beautiful.

I'm happy to have the chance to look and listen back! I'll revisit it for years to come. I'll forward the link along to Asa, too. I'm sure he'll be happy to know that it lives on in some way..."
