If you love exploring abandoned places, Ghost Towns/Mining Camps, and the old American west - then you should enjoy this video on @offroad801 YouTube channel. In this episode, I'll be highlighting a living Ghost Town in the vast west desert of Utah - near the Nevada border, called GOLD HILL.
I'm inviting you to join us for this outdoor adventure, as it's perfect for those seeking desert beauty and tranquility. The towns glory days are long gone, but remnants of it's former prosperity can still be seen. Just north of the Pony Express trail where explorers first found gold in 1858 but the miners didn't move in until 1871. Then founded in 1892. Now - it's remains are left as memories, after the town faded when cheaper supplies became available. A few people still live here in this historic mining area and looks like it was a pretty busy place to be after the railroad came to town. I'll fly the drone around a bit so you will be able to see what's left. We didn't know what to expect going when we began exploring this extremely remote backcountry desert trail, and what we found hidden in this living ghost town/mining camp makes me want to come back one day and do some further exploration.
These sites are here for our generations to learn more about Utah's unique and diverse past. This YouTube video will will offer you more than just an exploration adventure, but also a journey through time and a valuable insight to the lost and forgotten history. This offroad trail has some challenging conditions some please prepare yourself accordingly and have a map!! Discovering remote and isolated adventure trails, can be dangerous.
