Did you know Wellingborough had two identical engine sheds? Although No.2 shed (Built 1872) still remains on the grounds of what was a very busy Locomotive department. Sadly No.1 shed ( Built 1868) was demolished in 1964 and replaced with a replacement storage shed that has also now been demolished too. When No.1 shed was demolished the turn-table was covered over. Now over 60 years later a groundworks company have taken control of the land as part of the Stanton Cross development scheme and have uncovered this historic monument. I can only hope that this becomes a future feature for Stanton cross here in Wellingborough.
The music has been made by a very good friend of our, special thanks to Polo and you can find more of his music by clicking this link https://soundcloud.app.goo.gl/DQ4hu
