Train Simulator 2022 | U-Bahn Frankfurt 2 - Line U5 - Preungesheim to Hauptbahnhof

Here we're revisiting the excellent U-Bahn Frankfurt 2 route in Train Simulator, since I've also recorded a video on the Frankfurt to Koblenz route. Of course, this U-Bahn is one of the public transport systems in the city of Frankfurt am Main, Germany. It's a unique mix of underground lines, street-running and semi-conventional track out in the countryside. Overall I think it's a fantastic route.

In this video, we're going to drive the full length of Line U5, starting at Preungesheim ~ the northern end ~ and finishing at Frankfurt Hauptbahnhof. The traction for this run is the trusty Flexity Swift U5-50 wagen, and we'll be calling at all stations on our journey:

U5 is one of my favourite lines on the U-Bahn Frankfurt system. I like the unique mix of an intense stopping pattern, proper street-running through Glauburgstraße and Musterschule (which feels like a tram line), and of course the underground section between Konstablerwache and Frankfurt Hauptbahnhof.
