Does rheumatic fever turn to heart disease?
বাতজ্বরের ৮০% রোগীই শিশু। গলা ব্যথা, টনসিলের সমস্যা, খোশ পাঁচড়া থাকলে এই জ্বরের আশঙ্কা থাকে। আর বারবার এই জ্বর হলে হার্ট ও ব্রেণ আক্রান্ত হতে পারে বলে জানিয়েছেন, বঙ্গবন্ধু শেখ মুজিব মেডিকেল বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের অধ্যাপক ডাঃ মানিক কুমার তালুকদার। তিনি আরও জানান, এর চিকিৎসা দীর্ঘমেয়াদী। তবে পরিস্কার পরিচ্ছন্ন থাকলে বাতজ্বর হওয়ার আশঙ্কা কমে।
