●Our Journey: Mumbai to Ujjain by Train

Our adventure began at Mumbai's busy railway station, where we boarded the train to Ujjain. The journey was nothing short of spectacular, offering us breathtaking views of the changing landscapes. As the train chugged along, we savored every moment, capturing the essence of traveling through the heart of India.

●Delicious Food on Board

One of the highlights of our trip was the food! For breakfast, we relished the iconic and mouth-watering Pohas, a traditional Indian dish made with flattened rice, spices, and garnished with fresh coriander and lemon. It was the perfect start to our day, giving us a taste of local flavors right on the train.

As we continued our journey, lunchtime brought another delightful experience. We ordered a sumptuous meal at Ratlam station, known for its delectable cuisine. The food was delivered to our compartment, and we enjoyed a feast that left us completely satisfied.

●Exploring Ujjain: The Spiritual Heart of India

Upon reaching Ujjain, we were greeted by the city's rich cultural heritage and spiritual ambiance. Ujjain, located in the state of Madhya Pradesh, is one of India's oldest cities and holds immense religious significance.

●Mahakaleshwar Jyotirlinga: A Sacred Abode of Shiva

Our first stop was the revered Mahakaleshwar Jyotirlinga, one of the twelve Jyotirlingas in India. This ancient Hindu temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva and is considered one of the most sacred shrines. The temple is situated on the banks of the holy river Shipra, adding to its divine aura.

The presiding deity, Shiva in the form of a lingam, is believed to be Swayambhu, meaning it derives its power (Shakti) from within itself, unlike other lingams that are ritually established. The temple's architecture and spiritual significance left us in awe, and we spent time soaking in the tranquil and sacred atmosphere.
