WWE has built its empire on the back of wrestling legends, but time and again, it has also turned around and disrespected them. Some of the most iconic names in wrestling history have been mocked, humiliated, or discarded by the very company they helped build.

In this video, we’re looking at 10 times WWE disrespected wrestling legends. From tasteless storylines and corporate hit pieces to humiliating live TV moments and shocking firings, these are the moments where WWE showed no respect for its biggest superstars.

Back in the 90s, the company turned Hawk’s real-life addiction into a storyline. They buried Vader on live TV, forcing him to call himself a “fat piece of trash.” They blacklisted “Macho Man” Randy Savage for over a decade, mocked Hulk Hogan and Randy Savage in parody skits, and even used Eddie Guerrero’s death to get cheap heat. From Brian Pillman to CM Punk to the Ultimate Warrior, these are the times WWE crossed the line and disrespected legends who deserved far better.
