Couldn't get to South Shore this morning in time for the highest of the King Tides, and by this afternoon the water had receeded far quicker than I thought it might. I explain at the beginning of the vid how far up, and how much farther up the water got, compared to last month's King Tide. As you can see, it inundated the initial berm of sea grass and had begun a "tongue" creeping toward the main entrance berm about 30 feet or so. The panning at the very end shows the East & South Bay mountains highlighted just right by the breaks in the low clouds. Most days those mountains (to the left of Bay Farm, from my perspective) are hidden by haze. Good to affirm that I do, indeed, live on an island in San Francisco Bay, surrounded on (most) sides by mountains and hills.
