This video shows how to make mamidikaya pappu which translates into mango Dal. This is a very delicious recipe very popular in Andhra cuisine with the tangy taste of raw mango in dal or lentils.
Ingredients
Raw mango 1
water 11/2 cups
Tuvar dal 1/4 cup
Moong dal 1/4 cup
Turmeric powder a pinch
Green chillies 2
salt to taste
Oil 1 tbsp
Mustard seeds 1/4 tsp
cumin seeds 1/4 tsp
ginger 1 tsp
curry leaves a few
garlic 2-3 cloves
green chillies 2
dry red chilli optional
coriander leaves 1 tbsp
