Reality Slap: TWO Confirmed Strokes

After Robert's hemorrhagic and ischemic strokes on April 27, 2025, he spent a few days in the ICU making sure he was stable, He was then moved to a PCU (Progressive Care Unit) room and we were able to get him set up with an in-patient rehab facility.

The emotions have been all over the place and the aphasia has been a struggle, but each day we set small goals and try to focus on the small picture instead of the big one. We realize Rob's recovery is a marathon and not a sprint and eventually things will start clicking better. To see Rob giggling and smiling alone was HUGE!

We can't thank Dr. Marc Babi and his amazing team at Cleveland Clinic Florida enough for the outstanding care Robert has received and for the amazing staff that has helped guide us in the right direction each step of the way. A LOT of tests have been ran and everything has been normal so far, but we're not done digging for answers!
