Yes, now we have an elected system, but in many countries dynastic traditions are still extremely strong. The history of Europe and the monarchical system are closely connected, and it is simply impossible to imagine one without the other. Nowadays, European monarchies are more of a historical artifact, a reminder of their great heritage. But royal dynasties, though they have lost their power, have not disappeared in the centuries. It is time to remember who of the living Europeans are the descendants of great statesmen, politicians and generals, and answer the question: where did the royal dynasties of Europe disappear? And have they really disappeared?
