After my amazing visit two years ago to the Veluwsche Stoomtrein Maatschappij (VSM) annual "Terug naar Toen" (Back to Then) steam gala in The Netherlands, when I found out that they would be celebrating 50 years of heritage railway operation in 2025 I knew I had to go back as part of my holiday. This was also a chartered Rail200 event, as the 200th anniversary of the railways also lines up being an anniversary on the same year. An all-star lineup of former German workhorses was on display as per usual, but this year I stayed for the evening cavalcade run where 10 locos pull the last train of the day, that was a special experience.
