Queens Community House (QCH) is calling for an increase in funding to afterschool programs. On March 20, Robin Veenstra-VanderWeele, QCH Associate Executive Director for Youth Services, spoke at the Preliminary Budget Hearing for the Children & Youth Committee at City Hall. Hear what she had to say about the importance of afterschool programs. For 10 years, afterschool funding has not increased. We must ensure that our city’s youth receive the essential programming they deserve.
