St Tegai's Church
Tegai was a saint who lived in the early part of the sixth century He was one of the sons of Ithel Hael, and with his brother Tecwyn accompanied Saint Cadfan from Brittany to Wales and became a member of the college of Bardsey Island.
The present church dates to around 1330, though little of that date now remains. The chancel and transepts were rebuilt in the 16th century, and the medieval church was then much restored and extended by the diocesan architect Henry Kennedy in 1853.
