RNA (Ribonucleic Acid) is a nucleic acid that plays a vital role in protein synthesis. Unlike DNA, RNA is single-stranded and can leave the nucleus to carry genetic instructions to ribosomes. There are three main types of RNA: mRNA, tRNA, and rRNA, each helping in the formation of proteins.
DNA (Deoxyribonucleic Acid) stores genetic information in the nucleus. DNA first makes RNA through a process called transcription. The RNA then uses this information to produce proteins in the cytoplasm through translation. In this way, DNA gives the instructions, and RNA carries out the work, ensuring proper growth, repair, and functioning of cells.
🧬 DNA stores the code, RNA reads it, and proteins build life.
