ঋণখেলাপিরা আদালতের রায়ে নির্বাচনে অংশ নিয়ে সংসদ সদস্য হলেও ইসি চাইলে তার বিরুদ্ধে ব্যবস্থা নিতে পারবে। এমন সুযোগ আরপিওতে রয়েছে বলে জানিয়েছে ইসি। একইভাবে কেউ দ্বৈত নাগরিকত্বের তথ্য গোপন করে এমপি হলে তার বিরুদ্ধেও ব্যবস্থা নেয়া যাবে। সোমবার নির্বাচন ভবনে এক ব্রিফিং এ এসব তথ্য জানান নির্বাচন কমিশনার আবদুর রহমানেল মাছউদ।





Even if the defaulters become members of parliament by participating in the election on the basis of a court ruling, the EC can take action against them if it wants. The EC said that such an opportunity is available in the RPO. Similarly, action can be taken against someone who becomes an MP by hiding information about dual citizenship. Election Commissioner Abdur Rahmanel Machud gave this information at a briefing at the Election House on Monday.
