Introduction:
Join me on this journey as I build a traditional log cabin from scratch in the forest. I did this project entirely alone, using hand tools and traditional woodworking techniques. From pouring the concrete foundation to cutting the joinery and installing the metal roof, this video covers the entire construction process.
What you will see in this build:
Foundation & Logs: Pouring concrete pads, peeling bark, and hand-hewing logs.
Joinery: Using a scribe and axe to create tight-fitting notches for the walls.
Roofing: Building heavy timber trusses, adding insulation, and installing a green metal roof.
Interior: Installing a wood stove, crafting custom windows, and finishing the floor.

Felling Axe & Broad Axe
Drawknife (for peeling logs)
Chisels & Saws
Auger drill
