From HINDU Temples to Lakes: What EVERYONE Misses between Lahore and Islamabad

In this video I am exploring the best spots I discovered between Islamabad and Lahore to make an amazing day trip. For this trip I skipped the motorway and headed to the GT Road or Grand Trunk Road and explored three amazing spots on the way.
I started my journey from Lahore early in the morning, eager to explore the historical and scenic wonders along the route to Islamabad.

The first stop was the magnificent Hiran Minar, a historic site built by Emperor Jahangir to honour his favorite antelope. Located about an hour and a half from Lahore, this majestic tower provided a fascinating glimpse into Pakistan's rich past. The experience at Hiran Minar was unforgettable, and it set the tone for the rest of the trip.

Next, I headed towards the serene Swaik Lake, a peaceful spot perfect for a mid-journey break. The drive took about two and a half hours, offering a mix of landscapes and rural charm. Upon arrival, I was captivated by the crystal-clear waters and the tranquility of the lake. It was the perfect place to relax and soak in nature's beauty. Swimming in the clean, refreshing water of Swaik Lake was a highlight, and I enjoyed the serene atmosphere of this hidden gem near Kalar Kahar.

Finally, I traveled to the awe-inspiring Katas Raj temples, an ancient complex with deep historical and religious significance. Despite the challenging road conditions, the sight of these temples and the sacred pond was worth every effort. The Katas Raj temples, with their rich history and beautiful architecture, provided a perfect end to my journey. I spent time exploring the various temples and learning about their significance, making it a truly enriching experience.
