YOU can make Maui’s hook for your kid – DIY project inspired by Disney’s Moana

I built Maui’s magic fish hook based on the movie Moana (Vaiana in German) out of some scrap pieces of spruce using a limited tool set. I used a jig saw and a rasp mostly, and some files, sand paper and a random orbit sander. It was a really fun build and I enjoyed shaping the wood with the rasp in a freehand kind of way.
