And now from a ADL Hybrid in the west to a Wright Volvo in the east, let's head to Newham, with a temporary allocation that is WVN16.
LK59FDF was new to First London as VN37818 from their Northumberland Park garage (NP), for use on routes 259 & 476. Go Ahead acquired the routes and garage in 2012, which saw the bus renumbered to WVN16, the bus remained on route 476 until February 2024, where it was sent to Henley Road (DS) garage for use on routes 262 & 473, pending the arrival of new electrics.
Our journey sees us on route 262, which runs from Stratford Bus Station to Gallions Reach, Shopping Park via Plaistow, Greengate, Tollgate Road, Beckton & Gallions Reach Station.
WVN16 is powered by a Euro 4 Volvo D9B engine coupled to a ZF EcoLife 6-speed automatic gearbox. So hope you enjoy.
