We have heard of the term Autism or people who come under Autistic Spectrum. Many of us relate autism with mental retardation too, but that is completely wrong. A person with autism works differently than other people.

By 3-4 years of age of the child a parent can identify something different with their child compared to others. They're unable to follow a certain syllabus, but they usually have special qualities that make them stand out.

Autism can be diagnosed by a neuropsychologist after following through a certain procedure. What we all should understand is that autism is not a single entity, it is a huge spectrum and can be presented in multiple forms - difference in behaviour, psychological issues, eating habits, difference in daily activities, etc. After the diagnosis, we must learn the child's weakness and strengths, and focus on their strengths rather than polishing their weakness.

Many of the famous people in the world are autistic - Albert Einstein, Thomas Alva Edison, Elon Musk, Bill Gates, Steve Jobs, Rowan Atkinson (Mr. Bean), Steven Spielberg. They saw the world through a different lens and were able to be iconic in our world.

Autistic children are not mentally retarded, they only require a specialised training system to identify their strengths to be more than they were told they could be!
