ASUS PRIME A520M-K - motherboard for AMD Zen 3 CPU
The ASUS PRIME A520M-K looks very similar to the previous A320M-K. It features 6 phase power design, a single 8-pin connector and no heatsinks to cool down the VRM temperatures.
This new A520 mATX motherboard comes with full support for upcoming Zen 3 Ryzen CPUs.
It features 2 DDR4 DIMM slots, supporting up to 64 GB (32 GB single DIMM capacity) certified for a maximum memory speed of 4600 MHz.
Like all other A520s, this ASUS PRIME A520M-K also lacks some features found on the B550 and X570: CPU overclocking and PCI express 4.0 for both SSDs and graphics cards.
As storage options there are 4 SATA III ports and 1 M.2 socket, type 2242/2260/2280 (PCIE 3.0 x4 and SATA modes).
Back I/O features HDMI, D-Sub, PS/2, 4 USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports, 3 USB 2.0/1.1, LAN and 3 audio jacks.
ASUS has decided to put this PRIME A520M-k in the same price range of the A320M-K. It is listed at a price of $75.99 US (Newegg), that is only $10 higher than its predecessor.
