BCB Dragon Verses Pathfinder Bottle Stove

We were out on a socially distanced foray looking for suitable filming locations for future videos and decided to take a couple of stoves for a real world outing.

It was about 4 Celsius or 39.2 Fahrenheit With a brisk sea breeze.

InfoZhed Junior who was a stove virgin so I provided him with the BCB Dragon with their Gragon fuel tablets.

I on the other hand had the Pathfinder Bottle Stove with Evernew Alcohol stove.
The Evernew has two sets of jets and so I wanted to sit the cap directly on the upper jets in order to control the flame. In order to do so the Pathfinder needed to be used in an inverted position so it became a windshield. This is not how it is intended for use but thought I would give it a go anyway.

The cheap little BCB worked brilliantly with fuel tablets however the Pathfinder with alcohol was lacking,

It was an interesting real world experiment after all these stoves are made to be used in the real world.

The filming on the Go Pro and small external microphone was terrible and I would have been better with decent equipment. Having said that It was a great day out and a good experiment.
