The Fire Department of Kitakyushu City developed a new soap-based foam to solve this issue, working in collaboration with a local soap manufacturer. Its all-natural ingredients are absorbed into the soil and cause no harm to the environment. The foam has already been successfully tried in SE Asia, where forest and peat fires are a major problem. The world’s first eco-friendly firefighting foam, developed in Japan.
