The siddhar is called in many names as Thannasiappar or Thannasi esar or punnakuesar or punnakusiddhar or pinnakusiddhar. He is one of the 18 siddhars and is prominent among them. His jeeva samadhi is in a temple. The temple is near to the kattajihills and is near to Selvapuram village of periyanaickenpalayam, Coimbatore. The temple is situated 26 km from Coimbatore railway station 7.5 kms from periyanaickenpalayam.

The temple has 1000 years old banyan tree and Karachi tree. Under both the trees, the siddhas left his samadhi. The temple is dedicated to the punnakeesar. There are small temples with lord siva, Lord muruga, anjaneya, pavathamman, bairavar, etc., and are there. A specialty of this temple is that you can get to know whether you wish will get fulfilled or not. This can be known by placing your alms before the siddhar near the tree and performing meditation. If both hands join, then the wish will become true. Otherwise, no. There is also practice of prediction a person's future with the help of Soli/muthu. This is done by an old poojari. Another point is.there is a cave in kattanji Hills, situated west side of the temple, where the siddhar has meditated. Overall, it is a beautiful temple where you can find peace.
