This tutorial demonstrates the simulation procedure to convert an isothermal Plug Flow Packed Bed Reactor (PFPBR) into an Adiabatic PFPBR using Aspen HYSYS. These results show that Adiabatic PFPBR is less efficient for the given reaction conversion than isothermal PFPBR.
