Lady Hale: In Conversation | Celebrating 90 years

As part of Edge Hill University’s celebrations to mark 90 years in Ormskirk, we were delighted to welcome Baroness Brenda Hale for a special talk at which she discussed her life and career at the highest level of the British legal system.

Baroness Hale’s career saw her serve as President of the Supreme Court of the United Kingdom, the most senior legal position in the country, from 2017 until her retirement in 2020. During this time, she was heavily involved in high-profile decisions, including the prorogation of Parliament over Brexit, and advocated for increased diversity in the judiciary.
