It was a very cold winters night standing on the standard gauge platform at Broadmeadows. I specifically went out to video the Qube Loaded Steel Train from Port Kembla. The QBX Diesel Locomotive was making a rare visit to Melbourne and an even rarer lead locomotive on the Bluescope Steel Train. It was windy with rain flying straight into my face. It was a worthwhile 40 minutes of trains. Along with the steel train, you will see V/Line Sprinters and V/Line Vlocity DMUs, Metro Trains Melbourne Comeng Electric and The New South Wales Trainlink XPT service from Sydney.
