Stripping Paint off of Plastic Miniatures (Dettol)

Use Dettol to remove paint from plastic models without loosing detail. I have recently been told that it does not like greenstuff, but so far I have not tested this. Otherwise I have had no issues with plastic, resins or metals.


I have had a user point out to me that they had issues with "Dettol' and "Finecast". The following text is a quote from the comment they gave "i just used this method for a citadel finecast space marine librarian and it seemed to do a fair bit of damage to it, the small cables seem to have gone soft and then were very easily damaged when i used the toothbrush, as well as edges of capes, shoulder pads, etc"

Dettol is a brand of disinfectant, you can only use the Antiseptic liquid, NOT the disinfectant cleaners. Seems only to be found in the UK.

You need to use the product that is designed to treat cuts NOT clean kitchens!
