From high alpine plateaus to hidden river caves and mythical creatures like the elusive olm — the so-called “baby dragons” — this documentary explores a network of more than 14,000 caves that make Slovenia a global hub for speleology. Along the way, we uncover clues to Earth’s prehistoric climate, investigate a possible 55,000-year-old musical instrument, and confront the folklore that once branded caves as gateways to Hell.
