My Fulbright Specialist Experience in Zimbabwe 🇿🇼 | Quick Recap

I just returned from Zimbabwe, where I had the privilege of serving as a Fulbright Specialist in partnership with the Stimulus Africa Foundation and the U.S. Embassy in Harare.

During my time there, I worked with innovation hubs, entrepreneurs, universities, corporate partners, and thought leaders, to explore how business innovation and collaboration can strengthen ecosystems and create new pathways for SME growth.

Highlights from the journey included:
✔️ Guest lectures and workshops at universities in Harare and Chinhoyi on entrepreneurship and innovation.
✔️Interactive sessions with hubs and business leaders on commercialization strategies, supplier readiness, and capital readiness.
✔️Dialogues with corporates and financial institutions on addressing Zimbabwe’s toughest SME challenges, from financing to market access.
✔️Co-creating new frameworks, including Smart Finance for African SMEs in Frontier Markets and a forthcoming paper on SME Supplier Readiness for B2B contracting opportunities.

This experience wasn’t just about sharing insights—it was about building bridges. Bridges that connect Zimbabwean entrepreneurs to new opportunities, and also create real possibilities for U.S. businesses to engage in trade and partnerships in a way that drives growth on both sides.
