Unique Things to Do in Seattle: Explore local Seattle book stores

Are you heading to Seattle for a weekend or day trip? If you're a book lover like me, I recommend checking out a local Seattle book store. There are unique book stores in every Seattle neighborhood.

I'm revisiting four Seattle book stores:

Elliott bay Book Company in Capitol Hill
Address: 1521 10th Ave, Seattle, WA 98122

Founded in 1973, Elliott Book Company is one of the most popular Seattle book stores.

Elliott Book Bay Book Company offers author reading sessions, over 150,000 books in their collection, and seasonal Staff Recommendations both in store and on their website. This Seattle book store also has a cafe inside.

Ophelia’s Books in Fremont
Address: 3504 Fremont Ave N, Seattle, WA 98103
Ophelia’s Books originally opened in 1997 and has since been an eclectic source of both new and used books. This is a small bookstore with a lot of charactee and also offers classes and workshops.

B L M F Literary Saloon in Downtown Seattle/Pike Place Market
Address: 1501 Pike Pl # 322, Seattle, WA 98101
There are 6 book stores in Pike Place Market. Check out B L M F Literary Saloon on the third level below Pike Place Market. If you didn't know, B L M F stands for Books Like a Mother Fxcker.

Magus Books in the University District
Address: 1408 NE 42nd St, Seattle, WA 98105

Magus Books has been in the U-district since 1978. Just one block away from the University of Washington, Magus Books buys and sells both new and used books. This Seattle bookstore specializes in collectibles, academic, and scholarly literature.

Mercer Street Books in Lower Queen Anne
Address: 7 Mercer St, Seattle, WA 98109

If you’re looking for a Seattle book store to check out, stop by Mercer Street Books. This independent bookstore offers a wide array of used books in Lower Queen Anne.
